Since its inception in 2002, Vicky Viscarra-Sales has continued her leadership of the Arnold Janssen Catholic Mission Foundation Inc. with its mission to educate all through Alternative Learning System (ALS). She is the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees whose heart, grounded in faith, manifests a committed love to make the non-literate and school drop-outs complete their basic education, gain skills, find decemt employment and livelihood. Through her leadership, the AJCMFI has thrived to create partnerships with various individuals, corporations, and institutions . Vicky, herself, is a good CONNECTOR given her zeal for the ALS mission.

The A and E Test is the culmination of a learner’s journey in the program. The journey could be different for every learner. In geographically challenging areas, it means a daily walk of 2 hours traversing rivers or rice fields just to reach the center. For others, waking up early could be a struggle since the night before was spent as parking boys or as scavengers. Si Dicky ay isang learner sa Sacred Heart Parish Shrine-ALS na hindi nakatapos ng elementary sa pormal na paaralan, ngunit nakapasa ng ALS sa Elementary at Junior high school level- tig One take test lng. Si Dicky ay isang batang nawalan ng pangarap, na lulong sa pinagbabawal na droga, tumutulong sa mga magulang sa pamamagitan ng pagpupulot ng basura at pangangalakal. Pumasok si Dicky sa ALS kasabay ng pagtalikod niya sa pag gamit ng bawal na droga. Sumailalim sya sa programa ng sacred heart - USBONG upang maituwid ang knyang buhay. Si Dicky ay madalas wala sa loob ng klase dahil s hanapbuhay. Madalas sinusundo namin sya ni Mam Gina sa bahay at dadalin s opisina para mag tutorial session. Minsan nga ay ayaw nya pumasok dahil nahihiya siya na di pa kumakain at wala pang tulog. Nag tiyaga si Dicky sa pagrereview na noong una ay ayaw na naya mag test. Pero Salamat sa magulang naya na lagi akong pinagbibigyan na gisingin si dicky. Lagi sinasabi ni Mama at Papa nya na "Mam, gusto po talaga ni dicky makapagtapos kahit maka vocational lang. Kahit piso lng ang baon nya or kape lng ay gusto nya pumasok. Kaya sana mam kahit makulit si Dicky pagtiyagaan mo po."

AJ-DC ALS held its annual Mr. and Ms. ALS last July 31 in Dasmariñas, Cavite. . Maraming salamat po sa mga guro sa sipag at tiyaga na ibinubuhos nyo sa para sa inyong mga anak. at sa magandang ala-alang iiwan nyo sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng MR./MS. ALS.
