Dasmariñas City, Cavite – Fr. Randy Flores, SVD, acting executive director of the Arnold Janssen Catholic Mission Foundation (AJCMF), together with Fr. Judy Bañez, SVD, program director, and members of the AJCMF staff, paid a courtesy call to Mayor Jenny Barzaga at the newly built Dasmariñas City Hall. The meeting took place in the elegant and beautiful reception area of the Mayor’s Office, where the team expressed their gratitude for Mayor Barzaga’s steadfast support of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) under AJCMF.

Mayor Barzaga, a strong advocate for education and community development, continues to champion ALS programs in the city. The courtesy visit also served as an opportunity to reaffirm AJCMF’s commitment to its mission of providing quality alternative education to underserved communities, especially out-of-school youth and non-literate adults.

Ten months ago, Mayor Barzaga lost her husband, the late Mayor Pidi Barzaga, who was serving as the district’s congressman at the time of his passing. Both Mayor Jenny and the late Mayor Pidi have been close friends of Fr. Jerome Marquez, SVD, the executive director (in absentia) of AJCMF.

The visit strengthened the partnership between the local government and AJCMF, ensuring continued collaboration in promoting educational opportunities for out-of-school youth and those in need of accessible learning programs.
